Higher levels survive damage but make the code denser. A logo raises it to the highest level automatically.

Empty space around the code, in modules. Scanners need at least 4 for reliable reading.

How to make a Twitter QR code

  1. Choose what happens on scanning: “Open a profile”, or “Write a post”.
  2. For a profile: type the username, with or without the @, or paste your profile's link. (Latin letters, numbers and underscores only.)
  3. For a post: type the text you want people who scan to publish, with your campaign's or event's hashtag if you like.
  4. In “Design”, pick your colours and squares, and add your logo and a frame asking people to scan. Then scan it on the screen and download it.

A profile, or a post ready to publish?

A profile code opens your page on X with its “Follow” button, in the app if it is on the phone, and in the browser if not.

A post code opens a new post with your text in it; they can change it and tap “Post” themselves. They need to be signed in to X.

A tip for post codes

A long text, especially in Arabic, makes a static code denser. Keep it short, scan it before printing, and work out the size. An editable code stays simple however long the text.

And check the final artwork with the QR code scanner to see the text comes out whole before printing.

Where it is used

  • At a conference or a fair: a post ready with the event's hashtag, published by the audience from their seats.
  • On the shopfront and the business card: your profile, for customers to follow.
  • On an awareness campaign's poster: a ready post carrying its message.
  • On the receipt or the order box: the customer-care account, for anyone who wants to write to you.
  • On the last slide of a talk: the speaker's profile.
  • On a book's cover or last page: the author's profile, for readers to follow.

On more than one platform? A social profiles code gathers every account on one page, behind one code.

Static or editable

The code from this page is static, free and needs no account. If you change your username or the text, you need a new code.

Kept in your account it becomes editable: you change the profile or the post's text whenever you like without reprinting, and you see how often it was scanned. The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good. The difference in detail

Questions about a Twitter (X) QR code

Is a Twitter QR code the same as an X QR code?

Yes. Twitter is now called X, and the code opens your profile or your post on X.

Is the post published by itself on scanning?

No. The text is filled into a new post; the person who scans can change it, then taps “Post” themselves.

Does the person scanning need an X account?

To see your profile, the browser may be enough. To publish the ready post, yes: they need to be signed in.

Can I put a hashtag in the post?

Yes. Write it with the text, as you would on X.

My profile's link starts with twitter.com. Is it accepted?

Yes. Both twitter.com and x.com links are accepted, and the username is taken from either.
