Image QR code

Every kind of code

How to make a QR code for pictures

  1. In your free account, choose “Image gallery”.
  2. Add your pictures one after another, as JPG, PNG or WebP, each up to 8 MB.
  3. Write a short caption under each one if you like, and a title for the gallery, shown at the top of the page.
  4. Design the code in your colours and with your logo, then download it and print it.

Where it is used

  • Photos of a wedding or a graduation, on the thank-you card guests receive afterwards.
  • Past work of a designer, a photographer or a builder, on a business card.
  • Photos of products or dishes, on the shop window or on the table.
  • Pictures of a flat or a venue, on a sign or in a brochure.
  • The stages of a piece, next to it at an art or school exhibition.
  • “Before and after” pictures in a salon or a workshop.
  • The rooms and facilities, on a card in a hotel or a furnished flat.

What people see when they scan it

A page with your title and pictures, each with its caption. A tap opens a picture full size, and they move on to the next. In the phone's browser, with no app.

A QR code for a single photo

Want a code for one photo only? The steps are the same: add just one picture, and it opens on its own for anyone who scans.

A QR code has no room for a picture; it opens the page with your photos, which is why it needs an account.

An event album printed before its photos exist

Want it on the invitation before the photos are taken? Start with one picture and print. After the event, add the photographer's photos, and everyone who scans their card finds them.

So that the pictures look right

  • Large pictures are scaled down when they are uploaded, so they open quickly on a phone and stay sharp.
  • The pictures appear in the order you added them: start with your best.
  • Write under each picture what it shows: the dish or the product and its price, the place, or the date of the moment.
  • Anybody who scans the code or is given its link sees the pictures. Do not upload what you do not want people to see.

Add pictures, the print stays

Add or remove pictures or change the title any time, and the printed code opens the new gallery. And you see how often it was scanned.

The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good. Storage for your pictures depends on your plan. Pricing

Questions about an image QR code

How many pictures can one code hold?

The code itself sets no limit. What limits it is the file storage your plan gives you, and each picture can be up to 8 MB.

Does the person scanning need an app?

No. The pictures open on a page in their phone's browser.

Is an image QR code free?

Yes, in a free account. The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good.

Why do I need an account for it?

Because pictures do not fit inside a code's pattern. The pictures are kept in your account, and the code holds a link to them.

Can I change the pictures after printing?

Yes. You add or remove pictures in your account, and the printed code opens the gallery as it now is.
