Every kind of code
How to make a LinkedIn QR code
- Type your profile's name (after linkedin.com/in/) or paste the whole link. For a company or a post, copy its link with “Share”, then “Copy link”.
- Open “Design” if you like: your colours, the shape of the squares, a frame with a call to scan, and your logo or LinkedIn's in the middle.
- Scan the code on your screen with your phone to check it opens the right profile.
- Download it: PNG for screens and slides, SVG or PDF for the printer.
What people see when they scan it
Your profile opens on LinkedIn, with your name, headline and the button to connect. In a browser they may be asked to sign in.
Your profile, the company page or a post?
Your profile for a business card, a CV and a conference badge, so the person you met connects before forgetting your name. A company page for the office, a stand and a job advert. A post for one occasion.
Where it is used
- On a business card, beside your number and e-mail.
- On a printed CV, so an employer sees your experience and recommendations.
- On your name badge at a conference, and on the last slide of your talk.
- On a company's stand and on a “We're hiring” poster, so visitors follow its page and openings.
- On the poster of a lecture or workshop, opening its post.
Need more than one link? The digital business card gathers your details and LinkedIn with a save button, and the social media QR code gathers all your accounts.
Before you print it
Scan it with another phone to check it opens your profile. If you change your custom link in LinkedIn's settings, make the code afterwards: the old link stops working. Then work out the size.
If your profile's link changes
The code from this page is static, free and needs no account. If your link changes, you need a new code.
Kept in your account it becomes editable: change the profile, page or post it opens at any time without reprinting, and see how often it was scanned. The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good. The difference in detail
Questions about LinkedIn QR codes
Where do I find my LinkedIn profile name?
In your profile's link: the word after linkedin.com/in/. In the app, open your profile and share it to copy the link. Or paste the whole link and we take what we need from it.
Can it open a company page or a post?
Yes. Paste the company page's link or the post's link instead of your profile name.
Does the person scanning need a LinkedIn account?
Not to read the code: a phone's camera is enough. LinkedIn itself may ask them to sign in to see the whole profile or to connect.
I changed my profile's link. Does the old code still work?
A static one does not: the old link is inside its pattern. An editable one does: you type the new link in your Kuody account and the print stays as it is.
Is a LinkedIn QR code free?
Yes. The static code from this page is free, needs no account and never expires.
