Invitation and event QR code
- No account
- No watermark
- Never expires
Every kind of code
How it works
- Name the event, such as “Our wedding” or “Opening of the new branch”.
- Set the day and time it starts, and when it ends if you like.
- Add the place, a few details, and a link for the event if it has one.
- Design the code in your colours and with your logo, download it and print it on the invitation.
What a guest sees
The guest scans the code, sees the occasion and its time, and the phone offers to add it to the calendar, even offline. It looks a little different on each phone, so try it before you print.
Saved in your account, it opens an event page in your colours: the name, time, place and details, an “Add to calendar” button that works on every phone, a button to the event's link, and WhatsApp if you like.
A QR code on a wedding invitation
On a wedding card or any party invitation, the guest adds the date to their calendar with a tap. Write the venue's name and area clearly, and in the details what a guest needs, such as when the reception opens.
Keep the details short: the longer they are, the denser the code. On a small card, find the smallest size that scans with the size calculator.
Static or editable, for an invitation?
If the date is settled, a static code is enough: free, and it works offline. If it might move, or you want scan counts or a WhatsApp button, save it in your account.
Either way, print “Scan to add the date to your calendar” next to it: many guests do not know what a code does.
Where it is used
- Invitations to a wedding, a new baby's celebration or a graduation.
- The opening of a shop or a new branch, on the window before the day.
- A course, a workshop or a talk, on its poster and advertisement.
- A fair or a conference: each session's time on its sign.
- A parents' evening at school, on the letter that goes home.
- A business appointment, on a card or a printed letter.
If the date changes
The code from this page is static, free and needs no account, so if the date changes you print a new code. Saved in your account, you change the date or place without reprinting, and see how often it was scanned.
The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good. Static and editable codes, compared
Questions about an invitation and event QR code
Does a guest need an internet connection?
Not for a static code: the date is inside the pattern. An editable one opens the event page, which needs a connection.
Can guests confirm they are coming?
Not on the page itself. An editable code can add a WhatsApp button to it, with a ready message such as “I will be there”, which the guest sends to you.
The date changed after printing. What do I do?
If the code is editable, change the date in your account, and anyone who scans from then on sees the new one. Guests who added it to their calendar before keep the old date, so tell them. If it is static, print a new code.
In which time zone does the time show?
It is saved in the time zone you entered it in, and each guest's calendar shows it in their own, so it stays correct wherever the guest is.
Is it free?
Yes. A static code is free from this page with no account, and an editable one counts towards the 3 codes the free plan keeps editable.
