Higher levels survive damage but make the code denser. A logo raises it to the highest level automatically.

Empty space around the code, in modules. Scanners need at least 4 for reliable reading.

Every kind of code

How to make an Instagram QR code

  1. Type your username, with or without the @, or paste the link of your profile, a post or a reel (“Share”, then “Copy link”).
  2. In “Design”, pick your colours and squares, and add your logo and a frame asking people to scan.
  3. Scan the code on the screen with your phone, to be sure it opens the right account.
  4. Download it: PNG for screens and posts, SVG or PDF for the printer.

What people see when they scan it

Your profile opens on Instagram, in the app or the browser, with your posts and the “Follow” button.

If your account is private, they see your name, your picture and a button to request to follow you, but not your posts until you accept.

Your profile, or one post?

A profile link for what stays up: the shopfront, bags, business card. A post or reel link for one occasion: a giveaway, a product video, the photos of an event.

Changing the post every month with each offer? Keep the code in your account, and change the link without printing again.

Where it is used

  • On the shop window and the café door: “Follow us on Instagram”.
  • On bags and boxes, and on the thank-you card inside the order.
  • At the photo corner of a party or a fair, so guests follow you and share their pictures.
  • On a business card next to your number, and on the last slide of a talk.
  • With a handmade gift, opening the reel that tells its story.

On more than one platform? A social profiles code gathers every account on one page, behind one code.

Before you print it

Scan it with another phone and make sure it opens your own account, not a lookalike. Then work out the size for the distance, and check the final artwork with the QR code scanner before printing the whole run.

If you change your username

The code from this page is static, free and needs no account. If you change your username, you need a new code.

Kept in your account it becomes editable: you change the profile or post it opens whenever you like without reprinting, and you see how often it was scanned. The free plan keeps 3 codes editable, for good. The difference in detail

Questions about an Instagram QR code

Can the code open one reel or one post?

Yes. Paste the link of the post or the reel instead of the username.

Does the person scanning need a special app?

No. The phone's camera reads the code, and your profile opens in the Instagram app, or in the browser if they do not have it.

My account is private. What do they see?

Your name, your picture and a button to request to follow you. They see your posts once you accept the request.

I changed my username. Does the old code still work?

A static one does not, because the old name is in its pattern. An editable one does: you type the new name in your Kuody account, and the print stays as it is.

Is the Instagram QR code free?

Yes. The static code from this page is free, needs no account, and does not expire.
