Every kind of code
How it works
- In your account, choose “Lead form”.
- Give the page a title, such as “Leave your details and we will call you”, and a short text above the form.
- Under “What visitors fill in”, set each field to “Required”, “Optional” or “Not asked”: name, phone, e-mail and message. Ask for a phone number or an e-mail, so you can reply.
- Write a consent text saying who will contact the customer and why, and the message shown once it is sent, and choose to be notified when someone signs up.
- Download the code, print it, and follow the sign-ups under “Responses”.
Where it is used
- On a trade fair stand, instead of a sign-up sheet.
- In a car showroom or an estate agent's office: “Ask for a quote”.
- On the window of a shop that has not opened yet: “Sign up and we will tell you on opening day”.
- At a gym: “Book a trial session”.
- At a school or a training centre: “Register your interest in the next course”.
- In a printed advert or a leaflet.
What people see when they scan it
Your title and text, then the boxes you chose, optional ones marked. Their phone fills in name, number and e-mail, and we check the number and e-mail look right before sending.
Under the form, a line tells them their details go to you only. Once it is sent they see your thank-you message.
So that people actually sign up
- Ask for as little as you need. A name and a number are usually enough, and every extra field loses people.
- Say in the title what they will get: an appointment, a quote, a call.
- A consent text reassures people, and each sign-up keeps the text they agreed to.
- Turn notifications on so you call while they still remember you, and mark the sign-up as handled once you have.
How it differs from a business card or WhatsApp
A business card gives customers your details, and WhatsApp opens a chat they start now. A lead form brings their details to you, to call at the right time, even while the shop is closed. And every sign-up is in one place, so no number on a scrap of paper gets lost.
An editable code
It lives in your account only, never as a static code. Change the title, boxes or thank-you message any time, and see how often it was scanned.
It comes with “Forms and the response inbox”, with the Start plan and those above it. Pricing
Questions about a lead form QR code
Where do the customers' details arrive?
Under “Responses” in your account, with the name of the code and the time they signed up. Only the members of your organization see them, and notifications never include them.
Can I move them into a spreadsheet or a CRM?
Yes. Download them as an Excel or CSV file from “Responses”. Owners and editors can download.
Do I have to ask for a phone number?
No, but you must ask for a phone number or an e-mail address, or both, so you can reply.
Is the customer's number verified?
We check that it looks like a phone number, and that the e-mail is a well-formed address. No verification code is sent to them.
Is anything kept besides what the customer wrote?
The consent text they agreed to, the page's language and the time it arrived. Neither their IP address nor their browser details are stored.
Will I get fake sign-ups from bots?
The form blocks automated submissions without making anyone pass an “I am not a robot” test, and there is a limit on how much one device can send and how much a code accepts in an hour.
